Experience and Opportunity

I have eight years of experience in supervising Master and PhD students working on reseach projects sponsored by government, industry and international bodies. To date, 11 PhD students and 4 Master students have graduated under my supervision.

As a supervisor, it is my priority to ensure all my students are well trained with neccessary technical skills and soft skills, which later become the vital tools for them to produce high quality research.

Under my guidance, students graduated with good track records in publication through publishing in top ranked journals. I also helped to connect my students with a network of renowned professors in the field to facilitate international collaboration and joint research work during their postgraduate studies. 1. Full Time Research officer

Topics: UAV Enabled Wireless Hotspot Development
Open to local and international candidates
Duration of appointment is for one year and can be considered for an extension if required.
Requirement: Bachelor degree in Engineering. Familiar with drone and software defined radio. Good programming and hands-on skills.
KPI: To produce a prototype of UAV Enabled Wireless hotspot and Intellectual property.
Monthly salary from RM 2,300 to RM 4,000 based on qualification and experience.

2. Full Time PhD with Scholarship

Topics: UAV Communication System for 5G Application, Flying Internet of Things, Deep Learning for Software Define Multiple Access, Multiple Access for Autonomous Vehicle, etc.
Research student grant available for eligible local candidates, monthly allowance RM1,800-RM2,300 depends on project.
Financial support to attend scientific conference, to buy research materials and to pay for journal publication fees.
Entry requirement: MSc or MEng degree in Engineering or Computing.
English Requirement for international candidate: IELTS Band 6 or TOEFL 550
Opportunity to undergo international research attachment in South Korea, UK, Germanay and/or Greece sponsored by international project.
Self-funded International candidates are welcome to apply.

3. Fast Track PhD with Scholarship

Topics: Hotspot in the Sky for 5G Application, Flying Internet of Things, Deep Learning for Software Define Multiple Access, Multiple Access for Massive Internet of Things in 5G, etc.
Research student grant available for eligible local candidates, monthly allowance RM1,800-RM2,300 depends on project.
Self-funded International candidates are welcome to apply.
Financial support to attend scientific conference, to buy research materials and to pay for journal publication fees.
Entry requirement: Bachelor degree in Engineering with CGPA ≥ 3.67/4.00
English Requirement for international candidate: IELTS Band 6 or TOEFL 5
Opportunity to undergo international research attachment in South Korea, UK, Germanay and/or Greecesponsored by international partners.

4. Master By Research with Scholarship

Topics: Development of Autonomous UAV Hotspot for Emergency Coverage, Development of Flying Internet of Things, Development of Software Define Multiple Access with Artificial Intelligence, Development of Massive Internet of Things for Environmental Monitoring.
Research student grant available for eligible local candidates, monthly allowance RM1,500-RM1,800 depends on project.
Self-funded International candidates are welcome to apply.
Entry requirement:Minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 for fresh graduates, or a minimum of 2.50/4.00 with four (4) years experience as a Electrical Engineering practitioner.
English Requirement for international candidate: IELTS Band 6 or TOEFL 550
Candidate is expected to begin study in Feb 2020.
Opportunity to undergo international research attachment in South Korea, UK, Germanay and/or Greece sponsored by international partners.

5. Postdoctoral Fellow

Topics: Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access, UAV Communication, Flying Internet of Things, Deep learning for wireless communication application, or other timely topics related to wireless communication.
Open to local and international candidates
Duration of appointment is for TWO (2) years and can be considered for an extension of ONE (1) year based on Post-Doctoral performance.
Requirement: PhD holder graduated within the last 5 years at the time of application, who demonstrates a good publication track record with at least 2 papers in indexed journal as first or second author.
KPI: To produce at least FOUR (4) papers listed in Q1/Q2 as First Author ( issue status to be considered are In press /Published only)
Monthly salary is from RM 5,000 to RM 7,000 based on qualification and experience.
25 days annual leaves per year.
